How many years of experience do you have?
I, the business owner, have been caring for people's pets since 2006 and some of my contractors have been doing it longer than me. Their exact years of experience can be discussed directly with them at the pet sit appointment.
How much do you charge?
Rates vary depending on length of time spent at your home with your pets. We offer 15-minute visits and 30-minute visits. An additional 15-30 minutes can be added if requested.
Do you charge a holiday premium?
Yes, 1.5x the regular rate.
Do you clean up after the pet if they vomit or have an accident in the house?
Every household has different cleaning techniques so we will do our best to clean up without making it worse. It is also important that we are provided cleaning products such as paper towels, etc.
Do you vacuum cat litter if it gets all over the place?
If we are asked to clean it up and are provided the necessary equipment to do so than we are certainly happy to clean up any tracked litter.
How do you communicate with the clients while they are away?
If the client requests communication then the sitter will send updates. Typically text messaging is the easiest for us pet sitters.
What if we need to add an additional visit due to a delayed flight, etc?
The sitter will continue visiting your pet until you are safely home and an invoice for the additional visits will be emailed upon your return.
What if an emergency vet visit is needed?
If a trip to the vet is needed then you will be charged a Pet Cab fee ($60 per hour) and an additional pet sit visit for the time spent at the vet. All additional charges will be added to the invoice.
Do you have insurance?
YES. We use Business Insurers of the Carolinas. Our policy includes:
1) General Liability: This protects against third party claims for bodily injury or property damage arising from negligence on behalf of one of our sitters
2) Care, Custody or Control: This provides coverage for the client's pets and client's personal property. This also covers pets while in transport in a vehicle. Also covers all independent contractors, employees and volunteers. Veterinary medical expenses are also included in CCC Coverage and the policy pays claims regardless of the negligence/fault for accidental injured to pets.
3) Bonding: This protects against dishonest acts committed by the sitter such as theft of property or money.
